CAREER BEFORE GRADUATION

Don't Just Graduate. Graduate With a Pathway.

Students don't have to wait until graduation to start building their future. Depending on age, location, interests, and program eligibility, homeschool students may be able to earn college credit, begin career training, explore skilled trades, prepare for certifications, and participate in apprenticeship opportunities while completing high school.

Community College

Dual enrollment, concurrent enrollment, or special-admit programs may allow eligible homeschool students to take college courses while completing high school.

Pre-Apprenticeship

Students interested in skilled trades may be able to begin preparing for registered apprenticeships.

Yes. Homeschool Students Have Options.

Homeschool students do not necessarily have to attend a traditional high school to begin exploring college and career opportunities. Depending on the program and the student's eligibility, homeschool families may be able to access options through community colleges, career-training providers, apprenticeships, and industry certifications.

Eligibility, minimum age, program availability, certification requirements, and licensing requirements vary by program and provider.

Career Training

Students may be able to participate in career-training programs offered by community colleges, occupational programs, or approved training providers.

Industry Certification

Depending on age and program requirements, students may be able to prepare for or earn certain industry credentials before graduation.

Eligible students may be able to participate in programs combining career preparation, education, and work-based learning.
